Goals¶
- Automatically analyse thousands of tracks in FLAC and DSF
- Extract and normalise metadata from the files
- Calculate the DR value per track
- Build a SQLite database
- Generate visualisations and conclusions from the data
What's included¶
Analysed library¶
The collection includes material from:
- CD
- SACD / DSF
- XRCD
- SHM-CD / SHM-SACD
- other audiophile editions and personal rips
Processed data¶
Each track may include:
- format
- artist
- album
- title
- year
- genre
- DR value
Navigation¶
- Insights → observations and notes on the results
- Methodology → how data is extracted and processed
- Pipeline → technical flow of the project
- Charts → visualisations generated from the database
- Conclusions → analytical synthesis of the collection
Project philosophy¶
This site does not aim to be a universal database or a normative reference on mastering. Its goal is more modest — and perhaps more interesting:
to document, explore and understand a specific music collection from a technical and audiophile perspective.
Status¶
The project is in continuous evolution. Metadata will be corrected, cleaning criteria refined, and new visualisations added over time.
